This year the Tyndall Mountain Club partnered up with Trail Kilkenny to deliver a joint food and walking experience – WALK, TALK, EAT. The WALK was the iconic stretch of the River Nore between Kilkenny and Bennetsbridge.

This is an extremely popular walk in Kilkenny following tight up against the bank of the river for approx. 10km. The TALK was provided by Jimmy Heally , Chairman of the Tyndall Mountain Club. Jimmy has a wealth of knowledge covering the local natural, built and social history. As we progressed along the route we were entertained by a variety of interesting and amusing tails. Then there was the EAT.This was provided by the Corner House pub in Bennettsbridge. Two events were held; one on the Saturday morning starting with brunch in the pub and walking back to Kilkenny City Centre to join in the Savour Festival.

The other, an afternoon start, on the Bank Holiday Monday walking out to Bennettsbridge for an artisan food producer inspired meal and a glass or two.
