Date: Starting on the 27 August (Sunday)

Time: 10.30am – 5.30pm

Details: Ideal both for beginners and for those who have participated in previous introductory workshops, this course offers `project – work` and various techniques of traditional and contemporary processes of Batik – an ancient fabric dyeing technique where hot wax is used as a resist on cloth. The professional Batik studio set up at Grennan Mill offers different wax applications (brush, Tjanting, stamp) and there is an option to use water boilers to remove wax.
Participants are asked to start preparations (sketches) for two images/designs prior to the workshop. Further information will be provided. Suitable for BEGINNERS and PREVIOUS PARTICIPANTS (3 places left available)
